The copywriter position will be reporting to a Creative Supervisor, with a matrix line to the Senior Copywriter. This position will provide concepts and copywriting within the regional Creative Services Center of Excellence (CoE) to ensure delivery of work that is targeted to the marketing communications objectives and expectations of the ACS businesses as defined in the Creative Brief, while building the brand.

Senior Specialist

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:


1. Creative excellence.

  • Provides concepts and copy as directed in the Brief.
  • Follows established conceptual and stylistic direction on projects to execute powerful solutions for marketing communication needs.
  • Works within Centers of Excellence (Creative, Digital, Trade Shows & Events, Project Management) to establish continuity in branding and voice.
  • Adopts best practices.


2. Marketing Communications (Functional) Effectiveness.


  • Observes timelines and budgets.
  • Proofreads and edits applying Honeywell style guide to new and existing communication 
  • Documents and maintains processes and content repositories.
  • Collaborates with Honeywell Corporate level initiatives as needed.
  • Monitors emerging trends and technologies and recommends appropriately.


 3. Works with outside resources.


  • Works with and provides direction to Global Creative Resources teams and outside vendors as needed.


 4. Brand Compliance.

  • Employs and enforces a Honeywell editorial style under direction of Creative CoE leadership.
  • Follows and assists in development of processes for proofing, consistency, and Honeywell brand compliance.
  • Serves as resource for Honeywell brand management to marketing organization.


 5. Web, e-Marketing and Social Media.

  • Assist in execution of ACS Digital Marketing strategy.
  • Develops web content, including the ongoing maintenance and evaluation of copy for SEO, metadata, social media, etc.


Position Profile


Copywriter with 4 years of experience developing comprehensive written communications in agency and/or corporate environments.


Basic Qualifications

  •  BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising or related field.
  •  3 years in creating integrated BtoB and BtoC communications in a complex channel environment.
  •  3 years proofreading
  •  Minumum two years online content optimization knowledge, SEO, metadata, social media, etc.
  •  Minimum one year experience with DAM/CMS software
  •  Minimum one year experience Adobe Creative Suite (basic or medium level skills)
  •  Fluent in English.


Preferred Qualifications

  •  Understanding of creative processes across entire MarCom mix.
  •  Retail, trade, B2B expertise. - Experience using online PM tools.
  •  Familiarity with translation and cross-cultural issues.
  •  Mix of corporate and agency experience preferred.
  •  Strong planning skills.
  •  Strong writing, communication and presentation skills.
  •  Ability to work in cross-functional teams across a geographically dispersed organization.
  •  Interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport.
  •  Flexibility and resilience, including ability to adapt to changing/uncertain conditions.
  •  Enhances team performance through collaborative ‘win-win’ approach.
  •  Utilizes support functions and all other available resources to apply best practices.
