Senior Hardware Design Engineer

The Senior Hardware Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of wireless products such as modems, routers and evaluation boards targeted for use in Wireless Sensor Networks based on the 802.15.4 standard.

Specific Job Responsibilities:


  • Design, build mock-ups, measure and make appropriate adjustments to prototype boards.
  • Compliance testing planning, execute compliance and qualification testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve radiated EMI issues in RF and high-speed digital circuitry.
  • Work with radio transceivers and ARM based embedded processors, designing them into working PCBs.
  • Create product/system architectures and detailed designs as required to support new concepts and products.
  • Work with other disciplines to define, implement, and test interfaces.
  • Work with factory to produce manufacturing documentation.
  • Consult with other engineers, as required.
  • Define tools needed for discipline.
  • Work with team and project manager to create project plans.
  • Help create project proposals.

 

 

Qualified Candidates MUST be able to meet the following requirements:


  • Have an Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a Master’s degree in wireless communications
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on RF and digital circuit design and testing.
  • Have mastered use of Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope and Power Meter.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for hands-on work with RF technology.
  • Have in-depth knowledge and understanding in RF technologies.
  • Ability to identify possible solutions to technical problems.
  • Able to work independently on multiple projects in new areas.
  • Able to thoroughly document work and present alternatives and recommendations.
  • Have experience designing electronic products for manufacturing.
  • Always conduct work in a professional and ethical manner.
